- 100% IR Faculty Opportunity Shape the Future of VIR with Time, Support, and Balance
Description
Location: MD
The Division of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (VIR) at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting faculty radiologists. When fully staffed, our Baltimore based VIR practice will consist of up to 10 radiologists supported by multiple advanced practice providers working out of 3 hospitals including the flagship University of Maryland Medical Center as well as a freestanding outpatient IR clinic.
Under new leadership, the Department is undergoing a dynamic transformation building on its longstanding legacy of excellence. The Department has a new competitive compensation plan (with performance-based incentives) coupled with a focus on faculty flexibility in schedules and staffing. Typical schedules consist of 15 weeks non-clinical time (academic, CME, and vacation) as well as 14 paid holidays! Compensation is competitive, with a signing bonus, and performance-based incentives. Incredible comprehensive benefit package with generous retirement contributions and family/medical leave policies.
The daily clinical work is rewarding subspecialized IR with a collegial team and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills in core Interventional Radiology procedures including vascular interventions, body procedures, oncologic interventions, pain/MSK procedures, as well as men’s/women’s health interventions. Practice building and programmatic development is encouraged.
The Division supports ACGME-accredited integrated and independent IR residencies and successful candidates should have an interest in working with residents and fellows. There may be additional time and support for candidates who have more in-depth academic interests in research, institutional or national service, and multi-disciplinary collaborations. Equipment and IR suites are state of the art.
Faculty rank is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Please enquire by email for more details and attach your CV: [email protected]
