As the only academic medical center in central Ohio, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center provides state-of-the-art medical facilities as well as excellence in patient care, education and research. Our patient population runs the gamut from simple to complex including patients with co-morbidities that challenge physicians' clinical skills. Annually, we admit more than 56,000 patients and experience some 899,000 outpatient visits.

Successfully made the First Islet Cell Transplant – one of few medical centers to have successful whole pancreas and islet cell transplantation.
